Speaker Mike Johnson Joins U.S. Chamber’s Free Enterprise Express Opportunity Tour in Cedar Falls

CEDAR FALLS, IA - Speaker of the House Mike Johnson (R-LA-04) joined the U.S. Chamber of Commerce's Free Enterprise Express Opportunity Tour today at Bien Venu Event Center in Cedar Falls, Iowa. U.S. Chamber Head of Government Affairs Rodney Davis and Vice President of Government Affairs Thomas Wickham hosted Speaker Johnson along with Rep. Mike Flood (R-NE-01), congressional candidate Joe Mitchell (R-IA-02), and Nicole Crain, President of the Iowa Association of Business and Industry.

On the Free Enterprise Express bus, Davis and Speaker Johnson discussed how free enterprise remains the surest path to lowering costs, creating jobs, and expanding opportunity in communities across the country. Speaker Johnson highlighted pro-growth policies, including the Working Families Tax Cuts, that protect American jobs and strengthen the economy. He also underscored the need for permitting reform so entrepreneurs, job creators, and small businesses can thrive.

Posts from the visit can be found on the Chamber's X and LinkedIn accounts.

The national Free Enterprise Express Opportunity Tour is a six-week trip through 20 states and more than 50 events to make the case for free enterprise in communities across America and push back against growing support for government-directed economic policies that threaten economic freedom, opportunity, innovation, and growth.

The Opportunity Tour is a part of the U.S. Chamber's New Fight for Free Enterprise initiative, a multi-year strategic effort to defend, protect, and promote free enterprise.
