Westside Future Fund (WFF) and Intercontinental Exchange partnered for a third consecutive year to host a day of service on Atlanta's historic Westside. The event brought together more than 200 volunteers, community members, and corporate partners on Saturday, April 25 for beautification, gardening, and student support projects at two key community sites: Truly Living Well and M. Agnes Jones Elementary School.
Volunteers at Truly Living Well, a natural urban agriculture farm located in the heart of the historic Westside, participated in clean-up and gardening activities to support the organization's mission of bringing fresh, healthy food to the community. At M. Agnes Jones Elementary School, volunteers took on beautification and student support projects designed to create a more vibrant learning environment for Westside students and families.
"This day of service is a powerful example of what community restoration looks like in action," said John Ahmann, President & CEO of Westside Future Fund. "When corporate partners like Intercontinental Exchange step up alongside our neighbors, the impact goes far beyond a single day - it strengthens the connections and investments that drive long-term, meaningful change on the historic Westside."
The event underscores the shared commitment of Westside Future Fund and Intercontinental Exchange to community restoration and cradle-to-career education. By investing in spaces like Truly Living Well and M. Agnes Jones Elementary, corporate volunteers help build a stronger foundation for the neighborhoods WFF serves - English Avenue, Vine City, Ashview Heights, Atlanta University Center, and Just Us.
"At Intercontinental Exchange, we believe in investing in the communities where we live and work. Returning to the Westside for a third year is a reflection of the lasting partnership we've built with Westside Future Fund - and our volunteers look forward to this day every year," said Brookly McLaughlin, Vice President of Corporate Affairs and Sustainability at Intercontinental Exchange. "It's a chance to roll up our sleeves and contribute to the kind of meaningful, neighborhood-level impact that makes a real difference for residents and families."
Now in its third year, the WFF-Intercontinental Exchange Day of Service highlights the vital role that corporate partnerships play in advancing WFF's mission of neighborhood restoration without displacement. Through ongoing collaboration with organizations like Intercontinental Exchange, WFF continues to demonstrate how sustained investment and volunteerism create lasting impact for legacy residents and the broader Westside community.
