Industrial Commission Announces Promotion of Patti Vaughn to Commission Director

(BOISE) - The Idaho Industrial Commission is pleased to announce the promotion of Patti Vaughn from Benefits Administration Manager to Commission Director.

Vaughn brings more than two decades of experience in workers' compensation administration and operational leadership. Before beginning her career in public service, she owned and operated a medical transcription business for 13 years. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Political Science from Boise State University in 2003 and joined the Industrial Commission later that year as a Compensation Consultant in the Benefits Department.

In 2007, Vaughn became the Medical Fee Schedule Analyst, where she implemented fee schedules for physicians, facilities, and pharmacies-work she continued through 2016. She then returned to the Benefits Department as the Benefits Administration Manager, overseeing the transition from a paper-based claims system to a fully digital process, significantly improving efficiency and service delivery.

Throughout her tenure, Vaughn has led initiatives that strengthened Commission operations and improved outcomes for Idaho's injured workers and employers. She played a key role in the Commission's IRIS modernization project, streamlined the settlement agreement process, and expanded educational offerings for stakeholders across the state. Her work reflects a strong commitment to excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement within Idaho's workers' compensation system.
