ALEXANDRIA, Va., (Dec. 12, 2025)-National PTA announced today the recipients of over $1M in grants and products to support PTAs across the country as they engage families; elevate students' voice; support educators; and work to make a difference for the health, safety, well-being and success of all students. The funding and products are made possible by AT&T, TikTok, Google, Discord, Norton (part of Gen), the New York Life Foundation, The Campaign for Tobacco-Free Kids, Bayer Fund, Uber, Kidde and happy® products, as well as the family of Mary Lou Anderson, as part of the association's PTA Connected, Healthy Lifestyles, STEM + Families, arts education and fire safety programs and initiatives.

"Across the country, PTAs at all levels work hard every day to make a difference for students, families and schools and make every child's potential a reality," said Yvonne Johnson, president of National PTA. "We are grateful to our generous sponsors and supporters for making the funding and products possible and for supporting the efforts of PTAs nationwide."

Following are the grant recipients:

  • 230 local elementary school PTAs have been selected to receive $1,500 each, supported by AT&T, to host an interactive PTA Connected: Ready, Tech, Go! program for parents and caregivers. Attendees will engage in meaningful peer-to-peer conversations about the various aspects of screen readiness; become familiar with tools and resources that help determine screen readiness; and gain new ideas to promote a healthy digital home. The Ready, Tech, Go! program helps families build knowledge and skills to use technology safely and responsibly right from the start.
  • 20 local high school PTAs/PTSAs have been selected to receive $2,000 each, sponsored by Discord, to host a PTA Connected: Build Up and Belong program to facilitate meaningful and interactive discussions between teens and their caregivers about community and belonging. The goal of the program is to help families explore ways to foster positive relationships, learn healthy online habits and build belonging in our digital world.
  • 20 local PTAs have been selected to receive $1,500 each, sponsored by Norton, to facilitate PTA Connected: The Smart Talk digital safety conversations in their school communities. The Smart Talk is an interactive online tool that walks families through a series of guided digital safety and online privacy questions, helping facilitate open, positive conversations that result in a personalized family technology agreement.
  • 75 local PTAs have been selected to receive $1,250 each, sponsored the New York Life Foundation, to build the knowledge and skills of parents and caregivers to support and strengthen their children's mental health and build their children's social-emotional skills and resilience as part of National PTA's Healthy Minds program. The goal of the program is to empower families to make mental health an everyday priority.
  • Seven district/council/region PTAs have been selected to receive the 2025-2026 Vape-Free Futures Challenge Grant of $2,500 each, supported by The Campaign for Tobacco-Free Kids. The grant recipients will lead grassroots advocacy efforts focused on educating communities about the dangers of vaping, mobilizing local voices and driving policy change to protect kids from nicotine addiction.
  • 20 local high school PTAs/PTSAs have been selected to receive $5,000 each, with support from TikTok and Uber, to build capacity to better engage youth in youth-led and/or youth-centered mission-aligned projects within their PTSA/PTA, local campuses and/or communities.
  • 10 state PTAs have been selected to receive $10,000 each to support capacity building to advance the association's mission, increase membership and strengthen leadership development and organization effectiveness.

In addition to the funding recipients, 25 local elementary school PTAs have been selected to receive over $140,000 worth of smoke and carbon monoxide alarms, courtesy of Kidde, to provide to families at their schools. The free alarms are a part of National PTA and Kidde's collaboration, specifically the brand's Cause For Alarm™ initiative, to help equip families with fire safety resources and educate about the importance of practicing fire safety at home.

141 local PTAs, representing 350+ schools, have been selected to receive 7,000+ happy® coffee pods each (1,000,000 cups of coffee in total) to provide to teachers and staff at their schools courtesy of happy® products.

"Through our programs and other initiatives, our association remains committed to bringing together and strengthening partnerships between families and schools; bringing knowledge, tools and resources into the lives of families; and providing supplies and resources to support families, educators and schools," added Howie Berman, MA, CAE, National PTA executive director.
