According to CFP Board's Summer 2026 CFP® Professional Sentiment Index, client confidence improved notably from the spring, with 50% of CFP® professionals reporting that their clients have a positive financial outlook and only 8% reporting a negative outlook. The gains came despite persistent inflation, affordability concerns and market volatility, although CFP® professionals said rising living costs continue to affect clients' ability to achieve financial goals, particularly for those nearing retirement.
