The President of the Government of Spain highlighted the positive results achieved by the Foundation on its 25th anniversary, thanks to public-private partnerships and the strengthening of Ibero-American relations.

The President of the Government of Spain, Pedro Sánchez, participated in the 36th ordinary session of the Board of Trustees of the Carolina Foundation held at the Zarzuela Palace under the honorary presidency of the King.

President Sánchez highlighted the very positive results of the Foundation, which is celebrating its 25th anniversary, fulfilling its mandate to promote and develop cultural relations and cooperation in education and science between Spain and the countries of the Ibero-American Community.

In his speech, Pedro Sánchez pointed to public-private partnerships as a driving force for Spain's international profile and emphasised the value of corporate support for the Foundation. In particular, President Sánchez highlighted this alliance within the university sector for its work in fostering internationalisation, talent development, pedagogy, and the academic rigour necessary to ensure democratic governance at a global level, which is key to strengthening international cooperation and multilateralism.

President Sánchez also highlighted the Government of Spain's commitment to the Carolina Foundation, tating that it embodies the logic of cooperation, creativity, dialogue, and dynamism that characterise relations with Latin America, emphasising its role in preparing for the next Ibero-American Summit to be held in Spain next year.
