NYCxDESIGN & ICFF 2025 – HAWORTH EXPLORES INNOVATION & INSPIRATION

May 21, 2025 (New York City) - Haworth celebrated NYCxDESIGN and ICFF with awards, a preview of new products and events at spaces throughout the city.

At the Haworth showroom in Mid-town, Manhattan, a panel discussion featuring Patricia Urquiola, Giulio Cappellini, Roberto Palomba and Laurie Pressman was moderated by Kurt Vanderschuur. The event also included a NeoCon 2025 sneak peek at new and notable products launching next month. In addition to award-winning products, Masters Series, Fern with bronze finishes and Haworth DesignLab were previewed.

The Haworth sneak peek products also receiving recognition from NYCxDESIGNare:

  • Mater Alder Tables won for Contract Tables. This collection features two lounge tables in oval and square shapes, a side table and a stool, available in four different colors that create a natural and earthy aesthetic. Mater is a Danish company represented by Haworth in North America.
  • Closed-Loop Manufactured Fern was a finalist for the Greater Good award. A first in the furniture industry, Haworth now utilizes a closed-loop manufacturing process for the black plastic of its Fern ergonomic office chairs.
  • Hello - this family of active lounge chairs and poufs was a finalist in the Contract Lounge Seating category. Reimagined by Patricia Urquiola, the Hello collection now features a softer, more contemporary aesthetic.

Haworth also supported the ICFF Best of Schools and Students awards, recognizing the next generation of designers, and the WANTED Design Schools Workshop, a collaborative design challenge for international design schools. Michael Warsaw, Haworth Global Vice President and Officer - Design, Research and Sustainability, juried and congratulated the Best of Students Winner, Pivota Swivel Chair by Zhiwei Xie, Pratt Institute and the Best of Schools Winner, Icon Design + RIT, Rochester Institute of Technology. Nicolai Czumaj-Bront, Haworth's Senior Principal Designer, juried the WANTED Design Schools Workshop.
