Public Notice – Requesting Applications for the Maternal Mortality Review Committee (MMRC)

The Division of Occupational and Professional Licenses and the Idaho Board of Medicine are announcing two (2) term expirations as of September 30, 2026, for the Idaho MMRC. Members of this committee are appointed by the DOPL Division Administrator, with consultation from the Idaho Board of Medicine, for a three-year term. The committee meets at least four (4) times annually, with a time commitment of up to six hours per meeting.

Those interested in serving on the MMRC should apply by filling out an application form on the Committee's website at https://dopl.idaho.gov/mmr/. Please email your completed application form and current CV to [email protected]. Only complete applications (including both the DOPL form and CV) will be considered. Applicants are encouraged to apply as soon as possible to ensure consideration. Selection for the committee will take place in January 2027, with appointed individuals' terms beginning on March 1, 2027.

Individuals appointed to the committee will be notified by email before their terms begin. Qualifications for these positions could include, but are not limited to:

  • Active State of Idaho Licensure, if required by law to practice in Idaho
  • Current Idaho resident
  • Nursing background, with preference given to certified nurse-midwives (CNMs)
  • Medical background with an emphasis in family medicine and experience in maternity care and delivery
