CCU's Adam Duncan Wins 2025 Jack Nicklaus Award, Joins Team USA for Arnold Palmer Cup

LAKEWOOD, Colo.- Colorado Christian University (CCU) proudly announces that senior golfer Adam Duncan has been named the 2025 NCAA Division II Jack Nicklaus National Player of the Year and selected to represent Team USA at the 2025 Arnold Palmer Cup. Duncan becomes the first golfer in CCU history to receive both honors in the same season.

The Jack Nicklaus Award, presented during the Memorial Tournament by Jack Nicklaus himself, recognizes the most outstanding collegiate golfers across all divisions. Duncan's award-winning season included four tournament victories, ten top-10 finishes, and a national runner-up team performance - all while maintaining an exceptional 68.7 scoring average.

Duncan, a Bakersfield, California, native and the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference (RMAC) Golfer of the Year, has also been named the sole non-Division I golfer on Team USA's Arnold Palmer Cup roster. The prestigious international tournament tees off June 5 at Congaree Golf Club in Ridgeland, South Carolina, and will be broadcast live on the Golf Channel.

Reflecting on the honor, Duncan said, "I realized how big of a deal it was when I started being on the watch list. I'll get to compete with the best college players from the United States against the best international players. It's a huge opportunity."

Duncan has been a spiritual and competitive leader for the Cougars. His faith-centered perspective on the sport is exemplified in his favorite quote by Chi-Chi Rodriguez: "I never pray to God to make a putt. I pray to God to help me react good if I miss a putt."

CCU President Eric Hogue praised Duncan's achievement: "Adam exemplifies CCU's vision of developing Christ-centered leaders. His impact goes far beyond the golf course - he's a role model in character, faith, and excellence."
