June 16, 2025, Tirana - Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Moldova, Mihai Popșoi, participated in the Summit of the South-East European Cooperation Process (SEECP), held in Tirana, the capital of Albania.

During the summit, the Moldovan official spoke about the importance of regional collaboration and European integration. "European Union integration is not a final destination, but a continuous journey of reforms, modernization, and mutual support," stated Mihai Popșoi. According to him, moving closer to the EU means "stronger economic ties, access to larger markets, and increased investments."

The Deputy Prime Minister also emphasized that the Republic of Moldova cannot succeed on its own and requires close cooperation with countries in the region. "Only together can we build a more stable and prosperous South-East Europe."

Another key topic addressed was the regional security situation. Mihai Popșoi firmly condemned the Russian Federation's military aggression against Ukraine, highlighting the severe consequences this war has for the entire region. "The Republic of Moldova stands in solidarity with Ukraine and will continue to provide full support to the Ukrainian people."

The Minister also underlined the important role of the SEECP as a platform for dialogue and cooperation. "This initiative helps us strengthen trust, bring us closer to one another, and pursue common objectives that align with European values."

Note: From July 2024 to June 2025, the SEECP Chairmanship-in-Office was held by the Republic of Albania. Starting in July 2025, the mandate will be taken over by the Republic of Bulgaria.
