Pueblo Police Department's Investigation of Second Homicide in 2025 Leads to Arrest

Pueblo, CO― On April 3, 2025, at approximately 8:45 a.m., the Pueblo Police Department received a report of a deceased person in the 1900 block of W. 21^st St.

Officers arrived on the scene and located an unresponsive male on the front porch of a home. Fire/rescue personnel subsequently declared the male deceased. Officers secured the scene and detectives from the Pueblo Police Crimes Against Persons and Crime Scene Investigations Units began a homicide investigation. Andrew Martinez, 21, was identified as the suspect in this case. Martinez was arrested on a charge of 1^st Degree Murder. The Pueblo County Coroner will identify the deceased after appropriate notifications.

This is an active and ongoing investigation, and updates will be provided to the public as more information becomes available. This marks the City's second homicide in 2025.
