Electric Vehicle (EV) Energization Roadmap for Utilities
The EV Charger Energization Roadmap for Utilities course provides utility staff with an understanding of why energization process efficiency matters, challenges that customers and utilities experience in the process, and solutions that utilities can implement. Course content is based on A Grid Connection Roadmap for Utilities to Support Small EV Customers, a technical report by IREC and the Electric Power Research Institute (EPRI).
This course includes four modules that cover the importance of energization process efficiency, the steps in the energization process, key challenges in the energization process and solutions to them, and the steps to implement the roadmap solutions. It also features insights from interviews with utility staff throughout.
