Riley Green Reveals His Ideal Date Night, Reflects On The Most Romantic Surprise He Ever Planned

Riley Green revealed his ideal date night.

The award-winning country star, 38, recently caught up with PEOPLE for the publication's 2026 Sexiest Man Alive issue. In an interview published on Friday (October 30), Green spoke about his "accidental" career in country music, his acting debut, his first-ever experience as a coach on The Voice in the show's milestone 30th season, his hopes of starting a family someday, his workout routine and more.

"I'm a big movie guy. If I could find a drive-in, wouldn't that be cool? I'm sure they still have them. Maybe a steak somewhere and a drive-in to watch an old movie," Green told PEOPLE when asked about his ideal date night. He said it's "a problem," to decide which car to take to the date. "I like old cars. I've got a '72 Bronco, maybe I take the top off of that... I can handle it [watching rom-coms]. I like all the Matthew McConaughey, How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days kind of stuff. The Wedding Planner, The Wedding Date, My Best Friend's Wedding, all that. I have two sisters, so I've seen them all."

Green went on to share the most romantic surprise he ever planned: "I remember around one Valentine's Day, I bought one of those real old army-looking tents, the white canvas tents, and there's this real pretty spot at my farm up above the lake. And I set it up and had little string lights in there and had a whole little campfire, but I had to do it while the girl was there. So I was constantly like, 'Let me go check on the animals,' and I'd run up there and put one pole up. And so it was a little surprise thing. I thought that was pretty romantic. I don't know how she felt about it.

"Well, it didn't go that well. I mean, here we are," he added with a laugh. Find his full interview here.

"I think there's something attractive about somebody that has a thing that they like and they're passionate about it," he told PEOPLE. "And to me, it's interesting to hear about those things from somebody else."
