BBC Radio Stoke’s Make a Difference Awards 2025 to celebrate local heroes

Local heroes from Staffordshire and Cheshire will be honoured at BBC Radio Stoke's Make a Difference Awards 2025, taking place on 2 October 2025 at the Bet365 Stadium. The awards aim to recognise the inspiring efforts of individuals and groups making a positive impact in their communities. A total of 32 finalists across eight categories have been shortlisted, with winners to be revealed during the ceremony.

This year's judging panel features a mix of well-known names, including Olympic gold medallist Bryony Page, former Blue Peter presenter Anthea Turner, explorer and author Levison Wood, and singer Kimberley Walsh. They will join actors, TV stars, and community figures in selecting the winners across categories such as Volunteer, Young Hero, Great Neighbour, Active, Animal, Green, Fundraiser, and Community Group.

The awards shine a light on those who go above and beyond for others-whether through volunteering, fundraising, protecting the environment, or simply being a supportive neighbour. Visit the full list of nominees here: https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/cj9zvkngyljo
