Director-General of Thailand International Cooperation Agency (TICA) meets with Assistant Director General of Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC)

On 13 February 2026, Mr. Chulvat Narinthrangura, Director-General of Thailand International Cooperation Agency (TICA), had a discussion with Mr. Arnold Wicki, Assistant Director General of Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC) under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Switzerland, and his delegation during their visit to Thailand.

Both sides discussed the possibility of extending cooperation in areas of transboundary pollution, water management, and disaster preparedness and response, as well as continuing the Project on Poverty Reduction through Safe Migration, Skills Development and Enhanced Job Placement (PROMISE) Phase III, with the International Labour Organization (ILO), to develop skills and increase employment opportunities for migrant workers in Thailand. In addition, the Thai side expressed interest in initiating trilateral cooperation on agriculture with Switzerland in Africa to drive policies under the Thailand-Africa Initiative (TAI), as outlined in the Minister of Foreign Affairs' previous statement. They also explored the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding on development cooperation between TICA and SDC.
