The Latinos United for Advancement student organization hosted a block party Oct. 9 to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month, a 30-day celebration that recognizes the history, culture and contributions of Hispanic and Latino Americans to the U.S. The event included music, the Wayne State Ballet Folkorico Dance group, a salsa dance performance, raffles, crafts and more.
