Boys and girls looking for ways to stay busy this summer have several day camp options for fun activities from June through August.

Monte Verde Park

Lakewood's popular Summer Day Camp at Monte Verde Park for ages 6-12 returns in weekly segments, starting on June 9.

Each week's camp features a different theme and an excursion destination.

Day camp runs from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., with extended care (before or after camp time) available for an additional fee.

Palms Park

Palms Park hosts a Bilingual Spanish-English Summer Day Camp for ages 6-17 starting June 16.

Special topic day camps

Kids looking for special topic camps can find those at parks and locations around Lakewood beginning the week of June 16, including:

Sports camps

• San Martin Park: Soccer, basketball and golf
• Lakewood Tennis Center: Tennis

STEM camps

• Bloomfield Park: Mad Science -Robots 101, NASA Space & Academy and Brixology Lego Engineering
• Lakewood Youth Center: STEM + Minecraft camps using LEGO materials

Dance camp

• Kick It Up: Summer Dance Camp: Trolls, Taylor Swift, Minions, Encanto, Bluey

Registration

Registration opens April 1 for Lakewood residents, and April 15 for non-residents.
