The US-owned company will produce up to 100,000 electric motors per year and will generate more than 130 jobs in the southeastern region of Coahuila.

With an investment of 18 million dollars , the company Infinitum Electric was inaugurated this Wednesday in the municipality of Ramos Arizpe. It will generate more than 130 jobs and is dedicated to the production of motors with American capital, said the Secretary of Economy, Luis Olivares Martínez.

"This is an investment that originated in the United States ; it's a Texas company that began exploring options here in Coahuila several years ago, with two phases. It's linked to the technology sectors that the state is investing in," since, he said, its founder invented the electric motor technology "that is mainly used for cooling data centers and compressors."

He believed that this would create new conditions for young people from Coahuila to enter industries that demand more specialized knowledge, "and that would also translate into better-paying jobs ."

According to the state official, the company is evaluating further growth and bringing production phases to Coahuila.

Governor Manolo Jiménez stated that the company already has two industrial facilities in the southeastern region, and highlighted that during his administration, there have been 185 new investments and 158 billion pesos in national and foreign investment. "Forty-seven percent are Mexican projects, and fifty-three percent are foreign projects. And our number one ally, our number one trading partner, is the United States. And within the United States, it's Texas."

He said that Coahuila currently has the best relationship with both Texas and the United States . "And that is a very important competitive advantage (…) Saltillo and Austin have been sister cities for more than 50 years. There is a great relationship; we share issues related to security, education, fire services, and economic matters."

He emphasized that, although 2025 was not an easy year due to international tariff movements, things are 'rearranging'.

Tore Slotfeld, Vice President of Manufacturing , emphasized that progress has been made in Coahuila for two years now, thanks to the Saltillo team, and stressed that they will continue to work in the state.

Ben Schuler, CEO and founder of the company, who invented this technology 15 years ago, said that electric motors consume about 53 percent of the world's energy, and Infinitum 's cutting-edge technology is also used in data centers, hospitals, "and other critical facilities." He noted that they have the capacity to produce 100,000 motors per year, but expect to grow even more in the coming years.

Mayor Tomás Gutiérrez Merino stated that the arrival of the company diversifies the range of opportunities for the municipality, as the company revolutionized engines with greater efficiency and quieter operation; he guaranteed that the best workforce will be available in the municipality of Ramos Arizpe.
