Senator McConnell Meets With Jamieson Greer

Washington, D.C. - U.S. Senator Mitch McConnell (R-KY) issued the following statement today on his meeting with Jamieson Greer, the nominee for U.S. Trade Representative:

"I enjoyed meeting President-elect Trump's nominee to serve as the next U.S. Trade Representative, Jamieson Greer. Preserving free and fair trade and protecting critical supply chains are essential to America's security and prosperity. In Kentucky alone, many thousands of jobs in our biggest industries - auto manufacturing and bourbon production - rely on America's export economy. I look forward to working with Mr. Greer to upgrade the playing field for American workers and to push back on China and other countries that engage in unfair trade practices."
