Congratulations to Warrant Officer Corey Meikle, the 2025 recipient of the Chief Warrant Officer Dan Brissette Award, for his research project 'Army Reserve Intelligence Force Generation'. Selected from more than 540 submissions, his work stood out for its innovative analysis and relevant recommendations.
Master Warrant Officers Hugo Leclaire and William Westwater were also recognized for their research projects, which demonstrated thoughtful reflection, strong critical analysis and the leadership expected of future Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) senior leaders.
Each year, the Chief Warrant Officer Dan Brissette Award highlights academic excellence. It is presented to the member who demonstrates an outstanding understanding of the theories and concepts taught in the Advanced Leadership Program at the Non-Commissioned Member Leadership College (NCMLC). This program is a key milestone in the professional development of senior non-commissioned officers and bridges the gap between people-centred leadership and institutional leadership within the CAF.
The award honours Chief Warrant Officer Dan Brissette for his 30 years of dedicated service and his legacy as an innovative and committed CAF leader. He distinguished himself as a member of the Canadian Joint Task Force 2 and later as the Chief Warrant Officer of Canadian Special Operations Forces Command.
Congratulations to all finalists for their exceptional contributions!
