DGA Statement on Republican Members of Congress Voting Once Again to Skyrocket Americans' Health Care Premiums

In response to House Republicans and current gubernatorial candidates including Andy Biggs (AZ), David Schweikert (AZ), Byron Donalds (FL), Randy Feenstra (IA), John James (MI), and Tom Tiffany (WI), among others, voting to skyrocket Americans' health care costs, DGA Communications Director Sam Newton released the following statement.

"Today, every Republican in Congress running for governor once again voted to jack up costs and turn their backs on the residents of their states who are already facing skyrocketing health insurance premiums this year. Donald Trump and Republicans' disastrous budget law was a major vulnerability for Republican candidates who got blown out of the water in New Jersey and Virginia in 2025, and this vote ensures those headwinds are going to be even worse in governors races across the country in 2026."
