WASHINGTON-On September 10, 2025, Congressman James Comer (R-Ky.) recognized and congratulated Taryn Jacobus of Danville, Kentucky, for recently receiving the Angels in Adoption Award from the Congressional Coalition on Adoption Institute (CCAI). Each year, CCAI selects individuals across the nation who have demonstrated a commitment to improving the lives of children in need of loving homes.
"Taryn Jacobus, opened her heart and home, enriching the life of her daughter, Piper. For more than a decade, Taryn has selflessly given her time and talents to serving children and families in her community. Whether volunteering with her church youth group, counseling campers in her own home, or comforting grieving children through hospice programs, her compassion has made a lasting impact on countless lives. Taryn's journey to adopting Piper is an awe-inspiring testimony of determination and faith. I want to congratulate the Jacobus Family on their well-deserved recognition. Boyle County and all of the First Congressional District should be proud of this loving family", said Congressman Comer.
