OCTOBER 2, 2025 - Statement From Chairwoman Amy Barela ICYMI: Websites like the National Forest Service are rightly calling out the "Radical Democrats" for shutting down the government. The Radical Left Democrats are in fact playing political games, blocking a responsible budget and holding federal employees hostage in order to push their own policy agenda. Our federal employees, who dedicate their lives to serving and protecting this country, should never be used as pawns in partisan fights. They deserve stability, not shutdowns. The American people rely on them to keep food on the table, fuel in our vehicles, and clothing available for our families. The President has made it clear: he wants the government open and functioning for the people. It's time for Democrats to stop the obstruction, stop the political theater, and do their job.
