Kate Moore, the University of North Florida's Associate Vice President, Chief Compliance and Ethics Officer, was recently confirmed to the Jacksonville Ethics Commission after being nominated by State Attorney Melissa Nelson. The nine-person commission is tasked with conducting a forum for discussion and investigation of ethics issues in Jacksonville.
"Kate's extensive leadership in ethics and compliance, combined with her commitment to public service, makes her a strong addition to the Jacksonville Ethics Commission," said Dr. Angela Garcia Falconetti, UNF Interim President.
As UNF's Chief Compliance and Ethics Officer, Moore serves as the institutional expert on all compliance and ethics matters, working with leadership and a university-wide network of compliance partners to oversee the institutional compliance and ethics program.
Prior to joining UNF in January 2026, Moore spent nine years at the University of Florida where she served as in various compliance roles, most recently serving as Deputy Chief Compliance Officer and Interim Chief Compliance and Ethics Officer. She is a double UNF alumna, earning her Bachelor of Arts in Spanish and Master of Education in Higher Education Administration. Moore holds professional designations as a Certified Clery Compliance Officer (CCCO) and Certified Compliance and Ethics Professional (CCEP).
