HARTFORD, CT - The Connecticut Insurance Department (CID) will hold a hybrid public informational meeting on Monday, August 18, 2025, on 2026 health insurance rate filings submitted by seven health insurers. The requested rates apply to individual and small group plans offered both on and off the state-sponsored exchange, Access Health CT.

The meeting will begin with presentations from the insurance companies on the rate requests. CID, along with other state agencies, executive officers, and elected officials, will then have an opportunity to ask questions. After these discussions, the meeting will open for public comment.

Viewing: The meeting will be held in person and online, with live web streaming available on CT-N.

The public will have an opportunity to submit questions and/or provide comments specific to the rate filings. Anyone wishing to speak virtually at the meeting via Zoom can sign up by sending an email to cid.ratefilings@ct.gov with your name and written comments attached by 5:00 PM on Thursday, August 14, 2025.

Anyone who wants to speak in person can sign up on the morning of August 18 at the Legislative Office Building beginning at 8:30 AM.

To accommodate all those who wish to speak, oral comments at the meeting will be limited to 3 minutes per person. The online public comment period began on June 6 when the filings were posted for public review, and such period will remain open until the final rates are approved by the CID.

The health insurance rate requests are available for viewing and open to public comment online.
