NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Board of County Commissioners of Marion County, Florida, will hold a public hearing for the purpose of considering an application from WASTE CONNECTIONS OF FLORIDA, INC. for a Commercial and Residential Collections Service Franchise in accordance with the Marion County Code, Section 16 Solid Wastes, Article I Solid Waste Management, Division 2 Franchises for the collection, transportation, and disposal of commercial and residential waste in unincorporated Marion County, Florida.

The public hearing will be held by the Marion County Board of County Commissioners on November 4, 2025 at 10:00 a.m., or immediately following any previously scheduled hearing, at the McPherson Governmental Campus Auditorium, 601 SE 25^th Avenue, Ocala, Florida, 34471. Interested parties may appear at the meeting and be heard with respect to the proposed franchise application.

ALL PERSONS ARE ADVISED that, if a person decides to appeal any decision made by the Board at this public hearing, he or she will need a record of the proceedings, and that, for such purpose he or she may need to ensure that a verbatim record of the proceedings is made, which record includes the testimony and evidence upon which the appeal is to be based.
