Tec AI platform Agent Studio wins award for educational impact

Tec de Monterrey has been recognized at the 2025 Netmedia-IT Masters Mag Most Innovative Awards for Agent Studio, the TECgpt ecosystem tool that promotes the strategic use of artificial intelligence in academic and administrative processes.

TheAgent Studio initiativereceived an honorable mentionforDemocratization of Artificial Intelligence.

This tool enables the development, training, and deployment of intelligent agents for various academic and administrative processes, ensuring secure, efficient integration aligned with the institution's innovation strategy.

In the rankings, the Tec landed in sixth place of the Top 10 for the Private Sector category of Mexican Technological Projects in 2025.

This is the second consecutive year that the institution has been placed in the Top 10 for this award.

Agent Studio was developed by the Artificial Intelligence team at the Office of the Vice President for Digital Transformation, under the leadership of Carmen Reyes, Manuel Terán, and Luz Eunice Ángeles.

"We're proud that Tecnológico de Monterrey has once again been recognized in the Netmedia-IT Masters Mag Most Innovative rankings," said Carmen Reyes, Director of Architecture and Engineering at the Tec's Office of the Vice President for Digital Transformation.

"Agent Studio's honorable mention for Democratization of AI reflects the impact and vision of the Tecnológico de Monterrey Education Group for the responsible and strategic use of artificial intelligence, reaffirming our leadership in technological innovation," she added.

The Most Innovative award is organized by Netmedia-IT Masters Mag and is considered one of the most prestigious information technology awards in Mexico and Latin America, having been founded more than 25 years ago.

More than 130 projects from public, private, and nonprofit institutions, all operating in Mexico, participated in the 2025 awards.

A committee of IT leaders from both the public and private sectors took part in the evaluation process.

The awards ceremony was held on October 23 at the Pepsi Center, WTC, in Mexico City.

Manuel Terán, manager of Artificial Intelligence Platforms at the Tec, received the award on behalf of the institution.
