Lawmakers return this week from a two-week recess with a full slate of legislative and political priorities. Republicans are preparing to move on President Donald Trump's request to use a partisan fast-track process that would circumvent a Democratic filibuster. The president has said he wants it on his desk by June 1, and Senate GOP leaderships are currently planning to have a budget resolution ready for floor action as soon as next week.
