Strengthening Ties, PT Timah Distributes Hundreds of Sacrificial Animals in Four Provinces

PANGKALPINANG -- In commemoration of Eid al-Adha 1446 H, PT Timah has distributed a total of 256 sacrificial animals across the company's operational areas.

Hundreds of these animals were distributed to the provinces of Bangka Belitung Islands, Riau, Riau Islands, and Jakarta. The livestock was delivered to villages, islands, organizations, and government institutions.

This sacrificial animal distribution is part of the company's Social and Environmental Responsibility (TJSL) program, which has been consistently implemented every year. This year, the number of animals distributed by PT Timah increased compared to the previous year.

Anggi Siahaan, Department Head of Corporate Communication at PT Timah, stated that the distribution of sacrificial animals is a tangible contribution from the company to strengthen ties with the community.

"The distribution of sacrificial animals is an annual program carried out by the company. Through this initiative, we aim to be closer to the community and express our gratitude for the continuity of our business, which is inseparable from the support of the surrounding environment," said Anggi.

The community enthusiastically welcomed the initiative, as it helped ease their food needs amid the current economic conditions.

The Regent of Central Bangka, Algafry Rahman, expressed his appreciation for the sacrificial animal donations from PT Timah, which were distributed to villages in Central Bangka Regency.

"Thank you to PT Timah for providing sacrificial animals for the community. PT Timah has contributed a lot, and may the company continue to receive abundant blessings. It's not just this year-PT Timah has been giving for a long time," he said.

Perdana Noriowati, the Village Head of Sungai Gayung Kiri in the Meranti Islands Regency, expressed her gratitude that her village once again received sacrificial animals from PT Timah.

"Alhamdulillah, our village continues to receive them. PT Timah's commitment, which brings many benefits to the community, deserves high praise. Every year, our residents receive beef donations for Eid al-Adha," said Perdana with a bright smile.

She also mentioned that PT Timah's support is not limited to Eid al-Adha; ahead of Eid al-Fitr, local fishermen and underprivileged residents in her village regularly receive food packages.

"So far, PT Timah's contribution is unmatched. We sincerely thank them for all the support they have provided," she added.

Similarly, Sunarno, Head of Tanjung Ketapang Urban Village in South Bangka Regency, stated that the sacrificial animal donations are a blessing for his residents.

"We are very grateful for the sacrificial animal donations from PT Timah, because thanks to this assistance, some of our residents are able to benefit from it. In addition, PT Timah has often supported us in the areas of health, social affairs, and the environment," he said.

This sacrificial animal distribution is not only a form of spiritual and social care by the company, but also reflects the values of togetherness, mutual cooperation, and empathy for others.
