Montgomery County Government Will Be Closed Monday, Jan. 26

For Immediate Release: Sunday, January 25, 2026

Montgomery County Government non-emergency services will be closed on Monday, Jan. 26. Government facilities, including libraries, recreation, aquatic and senior centers, will be closed. This includes County ABS stores. All activities scheduled through Community Use of Public Facilities are canceled for Monday, Jan. 26.

The County's 311 call center will be open from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 26. Contact MC311 by calling 3-1-1 or 240-777-0311. Residents can also visit them online at MC311.com.

Montgomery County Public Schools are closed on Monday, Jan. 26, for a previously scheduled staff planning day. MCPS will be closed on Tuesday, Jan. 27, due to inclement weather conditions. Before- and after-school child care programs will be closed on Monday, Jan. 26, and Tuesday, Jan. 27.

Ride On buses will operate on a "S" service schedule. Riders should check the Ride On website for updates.

All County-provided trash and recycling collections are canceled for Monday, and collections will follow a slide schedule, with the last collection on Saturday, Jan. 31.
