ST. LOUIS - The Missouri Department of Transportation will suspend most work on interstates and state-maintained highways to reduce congestion and ease travel during the Memorial Day weekend.
Crews will suspend lane closures for work zones starting Friday, May 22 at noon, although any priority roadwork such as pothole patching or other repairs may require work zones. Traffic will continue to have restrictions where there are permanent barriers. Work on all construction projects will resume at 5 a.m. Tuesday, May 26.
For more on roadway closures due to construction, additional work zone information, and real-time roadway weather conditions, go to http://traveler.modot.org/map. For real-time traffic, visit www.gatewayguide.com.
