Chinese Embassy in Dominica Holds the 2026 Spring Festival Reception

H.E.Chu Maoming, Chinese Ambassador to Dominica and his wife attended the 2026 Spring Festival Reception held by the Chinese Embassy on February 4. Representatives from the Chinese community in Dominica, members of the Chinese agricultural team, medical team and teachers of the Confucius Classroom gathered to celebrate the upcoming Year of Horse.

On behalf of the Embassy, Ambassador Chu extended best wishes to all overseas Chinese in Dominica. In his speech, he stated that over the past year, the Chinese economy has demonstrated strong resilience, China's diplomacy has forged ahead with pioneering spirit, and the China-Dominica relations maintained a high-level momentum. The year 2026 marks the beginning of the 15th Five-Year Plan as well as a new starting point for China-Dominica relations. He urges the Chinese community in Dominica to continue to show their commitment and enthusiasm by staying the course, and make new contributions to promoting the friendship between China and Dominica. The Embassy will remain committed to the principle of putting people first, fully safeguarding the legitimate rights and interests of Chinese nationals, and delivering quality service with dedication and care.

Applauds were warm and the atmosphere was festive at the reception. Everyone offered best wishes for the prosperity of our great motherland and everlasting friendship between China and Dominica.
