Cycle for Survival was started in 2007 by the late Jennifer Goodman Linn and her husband, Dave Linn. An MSK patient and Equinox member, Jen left a legacy that has transformed into a nationwide movement to beat rare cancers. Today, Cycle for Survival is fueled by dedicated fundraisers and donors as well as the generous support of corporate partners and sponsors. Instructors from Equinox, Cycle for Survival's founding partner, lead the inspirational, high-energy rides at Equinox clubs.
Cycle for Survival recently announced its new partnership with NOBULL as the program's Official Performance Apparel Sponsor for the 2026 event season. NOBULL is a training brand with a mission to help people be better physically, mentally, and emotionally. That purpose runs deep for NOBULL's owner, Mike Repole, who is the founder of Nonna's Garden Foundation and a longtime supporter of MSK.
"This partnership reflects everything NOBULL stands for: community, togetherness, and showing up when it matters. I'm proud to join Cycle for Survival and help drive MSK's mission forward. Ending cancer for life isn't only their mission, it's a mission we all share."
-Mike Repole
Participants of all 2026 signature events will be able to earn exclusive Cycle for Survival x NOBULL gear through their fundraising efforts.
Cycle for Survival is made possible by the support of all its signature sponsors. The Official Hydration Sponsor of Cycle for Survival is Essentia® Water, the pioneer of ionized alkaline water in the United States. Essentia Water will be provided at all 2026 events. ICAP sponsors an annual fundraising challenge to give participants an extra fundraising boost during the season. Custom Ink provides participant shirts and prints custom team shirts and accessories for participants and their supporters.
"For 20 years, Cycle for Survival has brought our entire Equinox community together - from members and instructors to our leadership team," said Scott Rosen, Executive Advisor of Equinox. "Each year, our clubs across the country host inspirational rides that unite thousands who share hope and a deep belief in driving progress."
Rare cancers include blood, brain, ovarian, pancreatic, and pediatric cancers, as well as melanomas and many other types of the disease. About 50% of people with cancer have a rare cancer. But research for these diseases is largely underfunded, which means that patients facing a rare cancer diagnosis often have few or no treatment options. Cycle for Survival helps fill this gap by funding the groundbreaking work of doctors and researchers at MSK.
"When I began training as an oncologist 23 years ago, there were few treatments for rare cancers. There was not enough research. There weren't the right tests. There was no momentum," said Ross Levine, MD, MSK's Chief Scientific Officer and Edward P. Evans Endowed Chair for Myelodysplastic Syndromes. "Thanks to Cycle for Survival, we've been able to invest in high-risk, high-reward research that has changed the story - leading to better therapies than we ever thought possible. That is the success and the opportunity of this community."
Over the past 20 years, Cycle for Survival has raised more than $415 million for groundbreaking research at MSK. Funding from Cycle for Survival has contributed to the development of at least six FDA-approved therapies and led the way to numerous groundbreaking innovations in rare cancer treatment, including a cancer vaccine that can train a patient's own immune system to recognize and attack cancer cells, a genomic profiling test that can detect mutations in more than 500 genes, and a first-of-its-kind tumor mutation database.
