Portions of Three Lincoln Streets to Close April 4, 7, and 8

Lincoln Transportation and Utilities (LTU) today announced that portions of three Lincoln streets will close April 4, 7, and 8. The closures are as follows:

• Holdrege Street between 30th and 32nd streets will be closed from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday, April 4 for utility work. The recommended route is 27th Street to Vine Street to 33rd Street. StarTran Routes 24-Holdrege, 25-Vine, and 42-Bethany will be detoured during this work. For more information on StarTran routes and detours, visit lincoln.ne.gov/transit or call 402-476-1234.

• West Cuming Street between Northwest 42nd and Northwest 44th streets will close beginning Monday, April 7 for utility work. This work is scheduled to be completed by Friday, April 18. The recommended route is Northwest 38th Street to Air Park Road to Northwest 48th Street.

• Westbound South Street between 40th Street and Normal Boulevard will be closed from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesday, April 8 for utility work by Windstream. The recommended route is 40th Street to Normal Boulevard.

Travelers are encouraged to seek an alternate route and exercise caution around these closures. LTU appreciates the public's patience during these closures and reminds residents that project dates are subject to change due to weather and unforeseen circumstances.
