Boathouse Capital Successfully Exits Sandboxx

Boathouse Capital is pleased to announce that it has exited its investment in Sandboxx, an app-based platform that supports service members and their network of friends and family supporters from basic training throughout their military careers. Sandboxx onboards approximately 80% of incoming service members, has reached more than 6 million users, and operates products including Sandboxx Letters, Waypoints, and Community.

The Company's initial product, Sandboxx Letters, digitized the process of sending physical letters to recruits in basic military training, enabling service members to maintain meaningful bonds with family and friends back home, thereby reducing attrition and generating more resilient, dedicated, and connected service members and supporters. Sandboxx has since expanded into a broader platform serving service members and their support networks across the military journey through additional products including Waypoints and Community.

Sam Meek, CEO of Sandboxx remarked, "Boathouse backed Sandboxx at a critical inflection point and gave us the partnership and conviction to scale to profitability and lay the foundation for the broader platform we are building today. We are deeply grateful to Lorelei and the entire Boathouse team for their commitment to this mission. We are proud of what we built together and focused on the work ahead."

"We've been thoroughly impressed by the vision, dedication, and execution of the entire Sandboxx team," said Lorelei Gaus, Vice President at Boathouse Capital. "We are confident that Sandboxx will continue to find novel ways to leverage the latest in technology to benefit service members and their supporters in their next chapter."
