Congratulations to Robert Perry, MD, FACS, Chief of the Division of Pediatric Plastic Surgery, for being selected to receive the Distinguished Mentor Award by the Medical Society of the County of Erie!
Throughout his 40+ year career, Dr. Perry has been providing compassionate, comprehensive care to the patients and families coming to him for plastic surgery, otolaryngology/head & neck surgery and more. During this time, he has also regarded mentorship as a vital part of his development as a physician. After helping found the Laurence C. Wright Craniofacial Center in 1989, he began to attract scores of practitioners from across the country seeking advanced education in complex reconstructive procedures. And he welcomed them with open arms.
Peers have commended Dr. Perry's teaching philosophy that emphasizes fundamental principles, which has equipped countless surgeons with the skills needed to solve unique surgical problems throughout their own careers. Colleagues also celebrate his dedication to family-centered, multidisciplinary care that brings numerous problem-solvers to the table-neurosurgeons, plastic surgeons, oral and maxillofacial surgeons-all to facilitate the best possible outcomes for his patients.
The Distinguished Mentor Award, given by Medical Society of the County of Erie (MSCE), acknowledges an MSCE member and medical professional who has shown exceptional commitment to mentoring and guiding the next generation of healthcare providers-and everyone who knows Dr. Perry understands how deserving he is of this honor!
Your commitment to your patients and those that you mentor is inspiring, Dr. Perry-Congratulations for receiving this award!
