Vivek Ramaswamy and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Weekend

October 26, 2026

Columbus, Ohio- Eight days from Election Day, Vivek Ramaswamy is reeling as his terrible week continues after he decided to put Dr. Acton's abusive and estranged mother into an ad. He then proceeded to double down, refusing to apologize after members of his own party, including the sitting Governor of Ohio, Mike DeWine, and Senator Jon Husted, condemned the ad.

FIRST, new reporting exposed Ramaswamy for working with a controversial senior advisor who ran a $140 million pro-data center ad blitz on behalf of a billionaire funded super PAC. Ben Yoho, who was the CEO of Ramaswamy's 2024 presidential campaign and now his current media advisor, worked with pro-data center super PAC Leading the Future to run ads that lied to Ohioans about out-of-control data centers.

  • Yoho was also reportedly behind Ramaswamy's disgusting campaign ad featuring Dr. Acton's estranged and abusive mother that fellow Republicans have asked the campaign to take down.

THEN, if that weren't bad enough for Vivek Ramaswamy, his weekend got worse when new reporting revealed details behind a lawsuit facing his company, Strive. The lawsuit alleges employees at Strive were pressured to violate securities law and Ramaswamy himself engaged in unlicensed securities sales activity on Twitter. In August 2026, a process server even attempted to serve Ramaswamy with legal papers at his home.

  • Ramaswamy moved Strive to Texas months before launching his campaign for governor. Filings dated one day before the move was announced prove Ramaswamy was the majority shareholder at the time.

"Ohio's number one scammer Vivek Ramaswamy has been exposed again. He lies every single time he opens his mouth. From lying about his stance on data centers to moving his business from Ohio to Texas, one thing is clear: Ohio cannot trust Vivek Ramaswamy," said Ohio Democratic Party spokeswoman Katie Seewer.
