n this episode, we're featuring Chris Campbell, Founder and CEO of ReviewTrackers, a customer feedback and online reputation management platform that helps businesses better understand and improve the customer experience.
Chris didn't begin with a polished product or a detailed roadmap. He started with one frustrated customer, an idea for a better solution, and the conviction that online reputation management would become increasingly important for businesses. That vision eventually grew into a software platform serving more than 200,000 customers across 100 countries.
Building ReviewTrackers wasn't without challenges. Along the way, Chris navigated fundraising, changing market conditions, and competition from major players while continually refining the product and staying focused on solving real customer problems. After more than a decade of growth, ReviewTrackers was acquired by InMoment, expanding the company's impact by combining its technology with InMoment's Experience Improvement platform.
Chris participated in the gener8tor Madison Accelerator in 2014, where he credits the program with helping him become a stronger storyteller and fundraiser. Through more than 100 mentor and investor meetings, he refined his pitch, strengthened his value proposition, and built relationships that played an important role in the company's growth.
Chris's insight for founders:
"A founder's job is often to make decisions when there isn't enough data. Learn to trust your instincts, stay focused, and build something customers truly value."
Chris's ask:
If you're considering an accelerator, do your research, choose one that fits your stage, and fully commit to the experience. The more you invest in the relationships, mentorship, and opportunities available, the more you'll get out of the program.
Chris's journey demonstrates that successful companies are built through persistence, continuous learning, and a willingness to make difficult decisions even when the path isn't perfectly clear. His story is a reminder that long-term success comes from staying close to customers, embracing mentorship, and building a business with purpose rather than chasing short-term trends.
