Kean Secures $1,500,000 for Hunterdon County Senior Center

(September 1, 2026) FLEMINGTON, NJ - Last week, Congressman Tom Kean, Jr. (NJ-07) presented $1,500,000 to Hunterdon County to expand its senior center, which serves the entire county and houses a number of programs for senior citizens.

"Hunterdon County seniors deserve access to the services, resources, and community support they need to live healthy, independent lives," said Congressman Kean. "I worked to secure this federal funding because this project gives seniors and families across the county state-of-the-art facilities. Our investment will strengthen essential programs, expand opportunities for social connection, and ensure local seniors continue to receive the support they deserve. I will always fight to bring our federal tax dollars home and put them to work for the people I represent."

"The Hunterdon County Senior Center continues to grow year after year, both in membership and in the number and variety of programs we provide. Thanks to a $1.5 million federal grant, Hunterdon County will be able to transform the lower level of the adjacent County building into new programming space for our seniors and install an elevator that will make the facility fully accessible," said Hunterdon County Commissioner Director John Lanza. "None of this would be possible without strong partnerships at every level of government. Thank you to Congressman Kean for advocating for this federal funding and for your continued support of Hunterdon County and our residents."
