House Blue-Ribbon Study Committee on Georgia’s Medical Marijuana and Hemp Policies to Hold Fourth Meeting at State Capitol

ATLANTA - The House Blue-Ribbon Study Committee on Georgia's Medical Marijuana and Hemp Policies, chaired by State Representative Mark Newton (R-Augusta), will hold its fourth meeting on Friday, October 24, 2025, at 10:30 a.m. in room 406 of the Coverdell Legislative Office Building in Atlanta.

The Blue-Ribbon Study Committee on Georgia's Medical Marijuana and Hemp Policies will study and evaluate Georgia's current laws, policies and procedures surrounding medical marijuana and other cannabis-derived drugs and hemp products. The committee will compile a report of specific findings or legislative recommendations to ensure the safety of patients and consumers, as well as regulatory clarity for physicians and for distributors of cannabis-derived and hemp products.
