Buckeye is hosting an event for outdoor enthusiasts. Join us for the annual Veterans Day Hike at Skyline Regional Park on Wednesday, November 11, at 8:30 a.m.

Participants are encouraged to gather at Skyline's Mountain Wash Trail for a four-mile roundtrip hike to the summit, where an American flag will be posted in honor of those who have served our country - both past and present. Local veterans who wish to carry the flag to the summit should contact Buckeye Community Services at 623-349-6330 or via email at [email protected].

All veterans and family members are provided with hiking sticks and everyone receives a pin who participates in the hike.

The Mountain Wash hiking trail is rated as difficult. Participants are advised to bring water, sun protection and to wear closed-toed shoes. Registration is requested but not required.

Skyline Regional Park is located at 2600 N. Watson Rd., Buckeye, AZ 85326.
