Azerbaijani officer awarded the 'Students' Sword of Honour'

Relations between the Azerbaijani and Italian Navies are continuing successfully.
On October 23, the Commander of the Azerbaijan Navy, 1st grade Captain Shahin Mammadov met with the military attaché of the Italian Republic to the Republic of Azerbaijan, 1st grade Captain Gianfranco Vizzini.
The meeting included a broad exchange of views on cooperation between the Azerbaijani and Italian Armed Forces in the military, military education and other fields, and a range of other issues of common interest.
In conclusion, the Italian guest presented the "Students' Sword of Honour" and certificate on behalf of the Italian Navy Command to Lieutenant Humbat Gasimov, who graduated with honors from the Navy Faculty of the Military Institute named after Heydar Aliyev under the National Defense University in the 2024-2025 academic year, pursuant to the "Protocol of Intent between the Minister of Defense of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Minister of Defense of the Italian Republic on cooperation in the field of training and education of Naval Forces personnel".
