PHILADELPHIA - The City of Philadelphia released road closure information for the 2024 Chanukah Parade taking place on Saturday, December 28.
The Chanukah Parade will kick off at 7 p.m. on Saturday, December 28, and feature music and cars outfitted with giant menorahs.
The parade begins at 21st Street and Benjamin Franklin Parkway (inner lanes) and ends at 5th Street and Market Street where the festival will take place and continue until 10 p.m.
The festival is a family-friendly event featuring crafts, treats, a gelt drop, music, face-painting, a fire juggler and more.

The parade begins at 7 p.m. The route will be closed on a rolling basis. Closures will be temporary as the parade progresses and will be reopened as the parade passes.

The following streets will be posted as "Temporary No Parking" zones from 3 p.m. to 11 p.m. on Saturday, December 28:
Vehicles parked in these locations during posted hours will be relocated. If you believe your car has been relocated, call the police district of the areawhere your car was parked.
Additional road closures and parking restrictions may be necessary in the vicinity of the event venue as dictated by conditions. Residents and visitors should always obey posted signs and instructions from the Philadelphia Police Department.
SEPTA will be operating on their normal weekend schedule. There are no scheduled detours for the Chanukah Parade of Lights. If SEPTA detours are necessary in the vicinity of the event venue, that information and updates or changes to service will be published on SEPTA's System Statuspage. Customers can also use TransitViewon the SEPTA app. Riders should check System Status regularly or follow @SEPTA and @SEPTA_BUS on X for updates.
The City will provide law enforcement support and traffic control for the event and in the surrounding vicinity.
Attendees should never leave bags or other items unattended. In the event of an emergency or to report a suspicious person, activity, or item (backpack, package, container, etc.), notify a police officer immediately or call 9-1-1. Do not try to open, move, cover or touch a suspicious item.
