Undersecretary for Latin America and the Caribbean Raquel Serur Smeke and Paraguay's Deputy Foreign Minister, Ambassador Víctor Alfredo Verdún Bitar, held the VII Meeting of the Mexico-Paraguay Consultation and Coordination Mechanism.
During the meeting, held yesterday at the Foreign Ministry, the two officials reaffirmed their commitment to continue strengthening the relationship between both countries through dialogue and cooperation in various areas at the bilateral, regional, and multilateral levels.
They agreed to continue promoting cooperation through the countries' existing Joint Commissions in the technical-scientific and educational-cultural fields, as well as to advance greater economic and trade exchange.
Mexico and Paraguay reaffirmed their interest in strengthening multilateralism and regional integration to better respond to current challenges and pursue benefits for both peoples.
The Consultation and Coordination Mechanism serves to renew and expand the two countries' bilateral ties, fostering better understanding between them. The meeting made clear both sides' desire to reach agreements beneficial to both nations, reflecting the shared values between Mexico and Paraguay.
