City Seeking Input on New Play Equipment for Four City Parks

The City of Dubuque Parks and Recreation Department is replacing the play equipment and installing new rubber surfacing at Gay Park, Jefferson Park, Madison Park, and near the Fuhrman Pavilion at Louis Murphy Park.

The public is invited to provide input on the play activity options, styles, and color schemes for the new play equipment. An online survey for each park is available at www.cityofdubuque.org/planyourpark.

Residents of all ages, including children, are encouraged to participate. The online surveys will be open through Thursday, Oct. 30. To request a paper copy of the surveys by mail, call the Parks and Recreation office at 563-589-4263.

Following the close of the surveys, community input will be used to select and order new play equipment for the parks. The new play structures and rubber surfacing are expected to be installed in spring 2026.

For questions or more information, contact the City of Dubuque Parks and Recreation Department at 563-589-4263.
