USDA Announces June 8 Second Sign-Up Deadline for Environmental Quality Incentives Program (EQIP) Colorado

Colorado - May 8, 2026 - The U.S. Department of Agriculture's Colorado Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) announces a second EQIP sign-up deadline of June 8, 2026, for two targeted funding opportunities. This second batching period ensures producers have a clear, consistent timeline while allowing the agency to meet the required 30-day public announcement window.

NRCS programs accept applications year-round; however, batching dates allow the agency to efficiently evaluate applications and allocate funding to support high-priority conservation needs.

Second Sign-Up Opportunities (EQIP):

Area 1

  • Joint Chief's Headwaters of the Colorado Initiative Project

Area 2

  • Yuma County Targeted Conservation Program (TCP) - Sandhills Rangeland

Eligible producers in these areas are encouraged to contact their local NRCS office as soon as possible to begin the application process or to update an existing application.
