Holiday Schedule

In observance of the Christmas and the New Year holidays, City administrative offices will be closed on Wednesday, December 24th, Thursday, December 25th, Wednesday, December 31st and Thursday, January 1st. Broward County offices will be closed on Thursday, December 25th and Thursday, January 1st. Online services, including payments, remain available. Check the City's online services here.

Garbage and Recycling Schedule

There will be no bulk waste collection on Christmas Day, Thursday, December 25th for the following areas:

  • Zone #8 - between 46th Avenue and Park Road, and between Stirling Road and Sheridan Street
  • Lakes of Emerald Hills (entire neighborhood east of North Park Road)

Bulk waste in these areas will be collected on Friday, December 26th.

All other collections scheduled for Thursday, December 25th (garbage, recycling, yard waste and bulk), will be picked up on your next regular service day.

Collections will take place on their regular schedule on December 24th, December 31st and January 1st. See the collection schedule here.

Hollywood Parks Holiday Hours

  • All City-operated parks, Dowdy Field, Hollywood West Field, and Rotary Park (Pell Field and Whitlock Field) are open sunrise to sunset on Wednesday, December 24th, Thursday, December 25th, Wednesday, December 31st and Thursday, January 1st.
  • Community Centers, Boggs Field, Driftwood Pool & Athletic Complex, Police Athletic League, and the Washington Park Athletic Fields will be closed on Wednesday, December 24th, Thursday, December 25th, Wednesday, December 31st and Thursday, January 1st.

City Transit Services

Both the Sun Shuttle and Holly-Go Community Shuttle will suspend service on Thursday, December 25th. Broward County Transit and Tri-Rail are operating on their holiday schedule.
