Government Offices Closed Wednesday, Jan. 22

Newton County government offices will be closed Wednesday, Jan. 22 due to the impact of Tuesday's winter storm.

Public Safety, Public Works and other essential staff will be working for the safety of our residents.

Freezing temperatures overnight, coupled with the snowfall from Tuesday afternoon produced hazardous driving conditions on roadways into and around the County.

Crews continue to treat the roads while fighting temperatures that are expected to remain at or below freezing.
