Eastern New Mexico University Department of Theatre and Digital Filmmaking Announces 2026-27 Season Tickets, Season Pass Sales End Sept. 18

Portales, NM - Sept 1, 2026 - The Eastern New Mexico University Department of Theatre and Digital Filmmaking announced its season ticket prices and production schedule for the 2026-27 theatre performances today.

This year's production schedule features four exciting adaptations:

  • "Clue" by Sandy Rustin, directed by Clara Kundin (UTC Mainstage, Oct. 1-4, 2026)
  • NM New Works Festival (third iteration), coordinated by Leonard Madrid, featuring previously unproduced short plays by New Mexican playwrights with a theme of folklore and legends (UTC Studio Theatre, Nov. 19-22, 2026)
  • "E. 2nd Str" by LW Miller, a gritty retelling of the Peter Pan story set in the 90s NYC punk scene, directed by Jon Barr (UTC Mainstage, Feb. 25-28, 2027)
  • "Electricidad" by Luis Alfaro, a reimagining of Electra set in the barrios of LA, directed by Leonard Madrid (UTC Studio Theatre, April 29-May 2, 2027)

"We are thrilled to share this year's selection of shows featuring adaptations of beloved stories, from a live performance of the hysterical murder mystery movie Clue, to a modern interpretation of the Greek tragedy Electra set in Chicano LA, to a gritty reimagining of the Peter Pan story set in 90s New York underground scene, to a collection of brand new tellings of New Mexican folk tales and legends. Season tickets are only $28 each (a 30% savings or $12 off the regular price), and seats are guaranteed for each show throughout the year.
