Houston Christian University students Logan Henderson and Lyssa Ann Buerano have been awarded national scholarships from the Delta Mu Delta International Business Honor Society, recognizing their outstanding academic achievements and leadership.
Delta Mu Delta membership is highly selective-extended by invitation only to business students who have completed at least half of their degree coursework, maintained a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.5, and rank in the top 15% of their class.
Henderson, an undergraduate majoring in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing, also serves as president of the Husky Veterans Association. Reflecting on the award, he shared:
"I'm thankful for the unwavering support of HCU's faculty and veteran community, which inspires me to continue serving others with integrity and excellence," said Henderson.
Buerano is pursuing a Master of Science in Human Resource Management (MS-HRM) and currently serves as president of the SHRM Student Chapter at HCU. She said:
"I am deeply honored to be a recipient of the Delta Mu Delta scholarship-a reflection of God's grace and guidance in my journey. I am grateful to HCU and to the faculty and staff who believed in my ability to learn, lead and grow," said Buerano.
Each year, Delta Mu Delta awards only about 50 national scholarships across the country, making the recognition highly competitive. Recipients are selected based on academic excellence, leadership, character, and the overall strength of their applications-including essays and academic records.
